Edith was born on March 26, 1913 in Glasgow, Scotland, younger daughter of Robert and Mabel Wilson (nee Smith). She was predeceased by her father, mother and only sister Dorothy, first husband William Frederick Langnase (Bill), and second husband David Edwin Warner (Dave).
