JOHN JACOB SCHMAUTZ (JOHNNY SMALL) February 19, 1936 - October 5, 2009 It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our brother, dad, grandfather, uncle and friend, John Jacob Schmautz of Winnipeg, MB on October 5, 2009 at the age of 73 years . He is survived by his daughters Nancy, Judy, Susan and Linda and his sons Benny and Chet: sisters Vonnie and Linda. Many grandchildren, nieces and nephews too numerous to mention. He was predeceased by his wife Marge, mother Margaret, father Jacob and son Johnny. Johnny had recently moved from Brandon, MB, of 15 years, to be closer to his family. He was a very talented, self taught guitar and banjo player. His Martin Guitar never left his side. He loved his family and even while restricted in activities by his health, he still lived young at heart. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2009, 7:00 p.m. at the Wheeler Funeral Chapel 211 Regent Avenue W. Funeral Service will follow on Wednesday, October 14 at 1:00 p.m., also at the Wheeler Funeral Chapel, Linda Trenholm officiating. Interment to follow at Transcona Cemetery. Pallbearers: Kyle, Terry, Jarrod, Jamie, Greg and Darren. We love you and will miss you dearly.
