KELVIN KIRK HAUSER SINCLAIR After a brave yearlong struggle with an untreatable infection, Kelvin died peacefully at home surrounded by family and has joined his grandparents and birth mother. Kelvin is lovingly survived by adoptive family; Laurence and Donna Hauser, Kyle (Kelly) Hauser and Christie Hauser (Shawn Paterson), birth siblings; Jason, Tiffany and Jacob Sinclair. The lifestyle we chose could not have been so wonderful without the love and support of our family and friends. Thank you all for that. We hope that somehow Kelvin has touched you in a way that has made you better people. We are so grateful for the gift of Kelvin---every day has been an adventure. Of course there were ups and downs but we wouldn't change any of it. Hopefully, because of Kelvin and our challenging the system at every turn, other families will have easier and better experiences. We began this life fighting to get Kelvin out of the hospital and into a normal lifestyle and we ended it the same way---fighting to get Kelvin out of the hospital on Palliative Care. Kelvin has never fit into societies box and with lots of help, we have been able to change the many parameters of these many boxes. We have often said that Kelvin didn't read the manual on how to be a quad and we thank God he didn't. What a Ride!! We'll miss you baby! Thank you to the Palliative team for their help these last couple of weeks and especially thank you to Dr. Mink for going above and beyond your specialty and Comfort Zone to help us. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at Christ The King Church, 847 St, Mary's Road. Funeral Mass will also be held at Christ The King Church on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 10:00a.m. with Father Renato Pasinato presiding. A gathering will be held immediately after. A private family interment will take place at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined, in memory of Kelvin donations may be made to Give Kids the World Foundation or the Children's Wish Foundation. Glen Lawn Funeral Home 982-7550

  • I resided with Kalvin and his mother Ann when he was just a baby, I can tell you that his mother tried to give him the best care possible that she could. Troubled with an alcohol addiction, it was best that this little boy ended up in your caring arms thank you - Posted by: mike (friend) on: Jan 29, 2012
