Loved and always remembered by her husband of 48 years, Robert, left to cherish her memory, her sons Mark (Kim) and Melvin (Shawna), grandchildren Brett (Leslie), Danielle, Andrew, and Jessica, great-grandson Kade. Audrey will be sadly missed by her mother Clara Hardy, sister Jean, brothers Neal (Darlene) and Alvin (Betty), sisters-in-law Lillian (Norman), and Mona (Robert), brothers-in-law Russell (Joan), Don and Monty. Audrey also leaves to mourn her nieces and nephews. She took great interest in their lives, whether they lived next door or many miles away, also her many friends and family. She loved each and every one of them. Predeceased by her father George, infant sister Joyce, sisters Alice, Peggy and Charlotte, niece Lynn, Robert's parents Russell and Violet, brothers-in-law Morris and Nick. Audrey was born at Hudson Bay Junction, SK. She grew up on the family farm in Etomami, SK. Later the family moved to Hudson Bay, SK. Following in the footsteps of her sister Charlotte, Audrey moved to Winnipeg at the age of 18 to start the next chapter of her life. Soon after she met the love of her life Robert. They were married in October of 1961, and took up residence on the Maxwell Family Farm. They were blessed with two sons, Mark in 1962 and Melvin in 1963. Audrey was a very special and loving grandma who took great pride in her grand-children, being a part of their daily lives. Her grandchildren could always lift her spirits and bring a smile to her face, even in these long months she suffered with cancer. Audrey had a kind heart and was very generous with her family and friends. You could always count on Audrey for help and support. There was always an open door invitation. Audrey enjoyed dancing, gardening, casino time with her friends, farm life and just spending time with family and friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Sandra, Mona, Kathy and Wally, Jeannie, Penny and Cindy, for all their support in our time of need. Also thank you to the homecare staff, nurses and doctors for their excellent care and compassion. We will miss you Audrey! Funeral services to take place Friday, October 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Lilyfield Church. Interment to follow at Lilyfield Cemetery. A luncheon celebrating her life will take place at the South Interlake Agriculture Society. Although Audrey loved flowers the family gratefully declines them. Friends who so desire may make a donation in Audrey's memory to the Lilyfield United Church. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.

To Robert, Mark, Melville; Jonathan and I are greatly saddened by your untimely loss. I shall always remember your wife and mother with much respect. I knew her only a short time but, always found her to be a very real person, absolutely no pretense from Audrey. We shall hold you in our prayers.
