RICHARD HORCH Richard Horch of Abbotsford passed away peacefully into the presence of his Lord on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at the age of 77. Richard was born June 30, 1932 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and retired to Abbotsford, B.C. in 2000. He was a realtor in Edmonton, Alberta for more than 25 years. Music was his passion and as an organist he blessed others in Winnipeg, Edmonton and Abbotsford as well as singing in the Richard Eaton Singers in Edmonton and numerous church choirs. He had a deep commitment to God and cherished his family. Continuing to live life to the fullest as Richard did are his wife of 56 years, Betty; daughter Ruth Horch, daughter Heather (Dan) Janzen, son Richard (Colleen) Horch, eight grandchildren: Rachel (Jeff), Ben (Melissa), Jenn (Dan), Jessica (William), Jared (Becky), Katrina, Nicole, Jeff and 1 great-granddaughter Linnea. He will be dearly missed by his 4 sisters: Clara (Jake) Froese, Doris (Lloyd) Scott, Lorna (Jim) Morris and Carol Budde and many more family members and friends. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Bakerview Church, 2285 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford, B.C. A special thanks and appreciation to Dr. Winston, Dr. Brown and Dr. Richard Welsh and to the caring staff on the Palliative Care Unit at Abbotsford Regional Hospital in Abbotsford and Christine Morrison Hospice in Mission, B.C.
