JEAN JOYNT (nee BOURASSA) April 9, 1916 - September 19, 2009 A very special lady passed away on September 19, 2009 at Foyer Valade Care Home at the age of 93. Mom was predeceased by her husband Earl in 1979, her parents, three sisters: Laura, Lucy and Ida, and three brothers: John, Ralph and Arsen. She is survived by daughter Ardith (Danny Hutch), stepsons Wayne Joynt, Garry Joynt (Penny), and brother Robert Bourassa (Jeannine), grandchildren: Sheryl Burns, Perry Joynt (Krista Brandt), Randy Joynt (Karen Kuzak), Allison (Doug Klymyshyn), Kirby Joynt (Bridget Bloshka), Erin Hutch (fiancé Mark Baragar), and Stefanie Conner, ten great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and special companion of nine years, her cat Rusty. Mom had fond memories of her visits with the many members of the Labelle' Family who occupied a special place in her life. She enjoyed her many years as an employee of Eaton's at their downtown location. At age 33 two troubled boys came into her life and she handled many situations as they arose with the strength, understanding and love she garnered through a lifetime devotion to her God and church. When Mom said, I will pray for you you couldn't help feeling you had a pinch hitter on your team. She bought a car in her later years and thoroughly enjoyed her travels to relatives and family in Saskatchewan. Her Grandsons in particular have fond memories of some wild rides with Grandma! Mom dearly wanted to attend Erin and Mark's wedding on September 26th but an unfortunate accident interfered with her journey. All who knew and loved her felt her presence at this time of joy. In lieu of flowers please consider volunteering some time at a care home of your choice. A memorial funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Ignatius Church, 255 Stafford Street on Friday, October 16, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Interment and reception to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens 4000 Portage Avenue. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
