GLORIA WASACASE (WEIR)

GLORIA WASACASE (nee WEIR) Unexpectedly, at the Brantford General Hospital, on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at the age of 74 years. Beloved mother of Karen, Sheila (Fraser Downie) and Allison (Daniel Quessy). She is survived by her brother Kirk Weir and by her aunt Catherine McVey. Gloria is predeceased by her parents, Margaret and John Weir, brother Jack Weir and by her sisters, Shelley Smith and Cathie Liznik. Gloria will be fondly remembered by her dear friend Colin (Margie) and by many nieces, nephews and friends. She was a very active member of Central Presbyterian Church and the Women's Missionary Society. She worked for many years with Native Communities within Kenora and Six Nations Areas. Friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross St., Brantford, Ontario on Friday, October 16, 2009 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Central Presbyterian Church, 97 Wellington St., Brantford, Ontario on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. Donations may be made in Gloria's memory to the Central Presbyterian Church, Memorial Fund or to the Canadian Cancer Society. www.dennistoll.ca
