Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILFRED ALVIN MARSCH April 17, 1926 - October 11, 2009 Wilf passed away on the morning of October 11, 2009 at the Grace Hospital from many complications. He will be forever remembered by his wife Gwen; daughters, Kim Kuharski, Karen (Denis) Rodrigue; sons, Blaine, Michael, Trent (Lisa), Winnipeg and Cory (Annica) Estevan, SK; grandchildren: Jared, Geri, Ryan, Robert and Ronnie. He also leaves to mourn his sister Hattie Grabowski, brothers Lorenz (Madeline), Wally (Wilma) and Ken; sisters-in-law Ruth, Isobelle and Marge, plus many nieces and nephews. Wilf was predeceased by his son Gregory, his son-in-law Brian Kuharski, sisters Eleanor (Eric) Bunkowsky, Gertie (Bob) Wilson and Judy, brothers Harold, Donnie, Bobby and George (Marlene), brother-in-law Ernest Grabowski. Wilf was born in Sperling, MB, then moved to Winnipeg. He joined the army in August 1944 until 1946. He then took up farming in the R.M. of Morris in 1946 and the R.M. of McDonald in 1960 until he moved to Winnipeg in 1973 and went to work for Motor Coach Ind. Wilf wasn't too pleased with city living and when he was 56 and the doctor told him he couldn't work anymore because of his lungs, he found an old pool hall (Lazy M') in Austin, MB and operated it until 1989. He then moved to an acreage in Rosser, MB, which he loved. But due to ill health it was sold and he had to move back to Winnipeg. He loved the country, the barbecues and the fire pit and just sitting back and relaxing with a cool one. We will all miss him, rest in peace Wilf. Memorial service will be on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Tank room of the Charleswood Legion Branch 100 with Rev. Davidson officiating. Cremation has taken place and burial will be at a later date in the Brunkild Cemetery when restorations have been completed. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice or the Cancer Foundation.
