TEODORE TOMCZIJ It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Teodore Tomczij on October 12, 2009 at Seven Oaks Hospital just four days after celebrating his 86th birthday. Teodore was born on October 8, 1923 in Osiwci, Galicia, Poland and came to Canada in 1948. Teodore's strength and memory will live on and be cherished by his wife Katherine of 59 years, his daughters Chris Nowak, Elizabeth Tomczij, and Kathy (Rob) Penner. Dad also leaves to mourn his grandchildren April (Glen), Jeff (Danielle), Andrew, Jessica, Jaclyn, Jill, Kyle, Cody and his great-grandchildren Kailey, Alyssa, Kallum and Tamra. Dad you left us so soon and you will be missed dearly but we take comfort in knowing your suffering is over and you are at peace. We will love and remember you always. The family appreciates the compassion, dedication and care shown by the staff at Kildonan Medical Centre, especially nurse April, Dr. Lezack, Dr. Lipschitz, the Palliative Home Care team and the staff of 5th Floor, Unit 1 and Unit 3 at Seven Oaks Hospital. The pallbearers will be Jeff, Andrew, Kyle, Cody, Glen and Dwayne. A celebration of Dad's life will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street at 10:00 am.
