SOPHIE MARCHAK Accidentally on October 13, 2009 at Health Sciences Centre, Sophie Marchak passed away at the age of 76. Sophie is survived and will be deeply missed by her four children Larry (Teresa), Brian (Tracy), Elizabeth (Angelito) and William; six grandchildren Jenelle (Jesse), Mandy, Justin, Lawrence, Shane, Terrence; great-grandchild Maori; brother Danny and companion dog Duke. She was predeceased by her husband Anton; parents Kattyryna and Nicholas; brothers Mike, Nick and sister Anne. Sophie was born on June 26, 1933 in Fraserwood, Manitoba. She met and then later married Anton on October 23, 1954 and resided in Winnipeg until her passing. Sophie worked hard both as a housewife, mother and a labourer. Through her life she had various vocations, seamstress, baker, window assembler and until 2003 when she retired after 28 years at Motor Coach Ind. where she worked as a welder, assembler and shipper/receiver. She was devoted to her family, which she always put ahead of herself. The family would like to thank the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service and the staff at Health Sciences Centre. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, October 18 at 6:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street with Rev. Don McIntyre officiating. Interment to take place on Monday, October 19 at 12:00 p.m. noon at Brookside Cemetery. All are welcome to attend. Honorary Pallbearers will be grandchildren Jenelle and Justin DeJesus, Mandy and Lawrence Marchak, Shane and Terrence Marchak. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sophie's memory to a charity of your choice. Sophie will be deeply missed and forever in our memories. 586-8044
