Born May 9, 1916, and born into eternal life, surrounded by his dear family and friends at the John M. Parrott Centre, Napanee, Ontario, on October 11, 2009. Jim is survived by the love of his life Sheila (Finlay) Rogers and his daughter Rev. Margaret Anne Rogers and husband Andre Ethier and stepdaughter Mikelle Ethier (Aaron). Jim was born of the late Daniel Joseph Rogers and Annie (Milligan). Jim was born in Camden East and is predeceased by his loving sisters, Myrtle MacRow and Elizabeth Hunt and is survived by his wonderful sister Nan Alkenbrack. Jim is survived by his niece Eleanor Grennell (Herb), Dr. James Douglas Alkenbrack (Shelley), James MacRow and predeceased by Paul MacRow. Survived by cherished grandnieces and nephews, Paul, Katherine, Andrew, Sarah and Jennifer and special nieces, Valerie Craigen (Dennis) and Veronica Hartman (David) and their families. Dearest friend of Eileen Bruce, Alice Ethier Luke, Emily Lewis, Michele Clutter, and the incredible staff of the Rose Garden. A celebration of Jim's life was held with a visitation at the Wartman Funeral Home Napanee Chapel on Wednesday, October 14 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Celebration continued with a service in the Chapel on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in the family plot at Cataraqui Cemetery, Kingston. Please no donations of flowers, but rather give donations by cheque to the John M. Parrott Centre, Activation Department. Without the wonderful care of the staff of the John M. Parrott Centre and their Medical Director Dr. Douglas Alkenbrack and Dr. Dijana Oliver, Jim's final years would never have been so caring. We thank all who cared, prayed and visited Jim and thanks to his most compassionate nephew Dougie .
