LILA LORRAINE EDEL (nee WILTSHIRE) After a brave battle with cancer, our mother Lila peacefully passed away, with family and friends by her side, on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at the age of 70 years. Remaining to forever cherish Lila's memory are her four children, Arlie, Rodney (Stena), Wynn (Sheila), and Marnie (John); her 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, Lyle (Shirley), Elgin, and sister Gladys (Albert). Lila was a very hard worker her whole life. She managed the Mexican Village restaurant for many years, and then managed the restaurant at the Kildonan Motor Hotel until she became ill. She was very well known for her lunch specials at the K . She made some dear friends through her work over the years. At the request of our mother, no formal funeral service will be held; a small family gathering will take place at a later date. Our thanks go to the Palliative Care unit at St. Boniface hospital for all their care and support. The family also extends a special thank you to Heather and John (you're truly a blessing) and also to Barb Bell, for all your love and kindness shown to our mother.
