MARY (MAISIE) ELIZABETH CHILDERHOSE (nee KING) March 7, 1921 - October 13, 2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. Mom was born in Dernock, County Antrim in Northern Ireland. The family migrated to Canada in 1926. Maisie is survived by her husband Wes; daughters, Lorna (Harold), Marlyn (Arthur); grandchildren, Wesley (Nancy), Holly, Todd, Lisa (Jason), Troy and great-grandchildren, Andrew, Donovan, Ethan and Sienna, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents James and Isabel; brothers, Thomas, Ronald and Robert; sisters, Anne, Eileen and Pearl. Mom will also be greatly missed by her special cousin in Scotland, Cissie and her family, as well as her Irish cousins. Mom farmed with Dad in the Dundas District. The coffee pot was always on and their home was open and welcoming to everyone. Mom was a true homemaker and caregiver. She loved children and she was very active in St. Cyprians Anglican Church and Women's Auxiliary. A special Thank you to the management and staff of Unit 3 of the Charleswood Care Centre and the Grace General Hospital for their compassion and caring for Mom. At Mom's request a private graveside service will be held at Dundas Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital. The ones we love don't go away, They walk beside us everyday, No longer in our lives to share, But in our hearts they are always there.
