ELSIE MARY COOKSLEY Passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 15, 2009. Born March 4, 1917 in Winnipeg. Elsie was a daughter of the late William Rowell Watson and Winnifred Sharett Watson. Surviving are her son Kenneth (Rosalie) Cooksley, Calgary, Alberta; daughters, Lorraine (Paul) Campbell, Halifax, Nova Scotia; Marianne Derhak, Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. Grandchildren, Laura (Brad) Lansdown, Glenn (Karen) Cooksley, Calgary, Alberta, Caroline Halliday, Halifax, Nova Scotia. Great-grandchildren Jodie, Sheena, Justin, Katherine, Noah. Sisterin-law Annebelle Watson. She was predeceased in 2002 by her beloved husband Burton (Bert) after 65 years of marriage, her grandson David Halliday in 2005, her brother Doug Watson in 1969, and her son-in-law Tom Derhak in 2008. She had a long wonderful life, always concerned about her family. She worked at Eaton's from 1941 until her retirement in 1981. She had lived her entire life in Winnipeg with the exception of five years in Edmonton, Alberta. A private family service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Prairie Walk, Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
