Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKARL DREXLER November 22, 1923 - October 13, 2009 It is with heavy hearts that we sadly announce the passing of Karl, cherished brother, father and Papa. He leaves us to join his beloved wife, Madeline, who recently passed away on September 30, 2009. He will be dearly missed by his sisters Frieda, Ursula (Ernst); daughters Eleanor (Dennis), Miriam; grandchildren Karla (Marc), Andrea, Paul, Derek (Alysia), Erika; and great-granddaughters Emily and Hailey. Karl was born in Leiten, Germany and had seven siblings. Karl married Madeline in 1952 and they were married for over 56 years. In 1985 Karl retired from VIA Rail after 30 years of service. Karl loved the outdoors and woodworking. He had a soft spot for his grandchildren and always brought a smile to their faces by having plenty of treats. The trips to the beach, park, library and market will be treasured memories forever. We would like to express our gratitude to the staff of Concordia Place Care Home for their loving care of Papa. Prayers and visitation will be held on Sunday, October 18, at 4:00 p.m. and a celebration of his life will be held on Monday, October 19, at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home and Cemetery with celebrant Fr. Pierre Wood. Interment will follow. Papa we love you and will miss you always. May you find peace as you reunite with Nana, your beloved wife.
