CHIARINA ALBERTI
Born: Oct 23, 1915
Date of Passing: Oct 15, 2009
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHIARINA ALBERTI In loving memory of our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who left us on October 15, 2009 with her daughter by her side. Chiarina will be lovingly remembered by her children, Elvira (Italo), and son, Anselmo (Carolyn); grandchildren, Rita (Karl), Nadia, Leandra (Italy), Moreno (Toronto), and great- granddaughter Jersi, as well as her extended family in Italy. Chiarina was born on October 23, 1915 in Turate, Como, Italy. She met her husband, Cesare, and was married at the age of 21 years. Together, they had three children and worked hard to provide a life for them. Unfortunately, at the young age of 23 she lost her first born, and at the age of 27 years, Chiarina lost her husband and was left a single mother of two. Family was most important to Chiarina, as was evidenced by her decision to join her two brothers in Canada in 1953, in order to provide a better life for her children. She left behind a culture, and many family members. Although she endured numerous hardships throughout her life, one would not have known, due to her unassuming ways. Nonna, as many affectionately called her, loved to laugh and had a great sense of humour. Chiarina will always be remembered for her devotion to her family, her love of spending time with her grandchildren, especially her great-granddaughter Jersi, who held a special place in her heart. The family would like to thank Dr. S. Bullen, Dr. F. Salem and the many nurses and health care workers at Seven Oaks General Hospital who cared for Chiarina during her final days. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Chiarina may be made to a charity of choice. The hardest thing in life to bear Is to want you Mom, and you're not there. With a broken heart we whisper low, We love you Mom and miss you so. Service will be held on Wednesday, October 21 at 12:30 p.m., at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Avenue. Interment to follow.
