BERNICE ZGLOBICKI (nee CHERNOWAS) It is with deepest sorrow we announce the passing of Bernice Zglobicki on Thursday, October 15, 2009. She is predeceased by husband Frank in 1991, parents Anne and John Chernowas. Bernice will be greatly missed by her daughter Valerie and son Lawrence. Bernice was born August 16, 1927 in Fork River, Manitoba. She moved to Winnipeg as a young adult. Holy Ghost Parish is where she met her future husband Frank. She made a career of maintenance ranging from Trizec at Portage and Main to retirement from River East School Division. Bernice was strong. Her remaining family would like those who knew Bernice to not mourn her passing but rather celebrate her long life and cherish the many memories with which we are left. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 21 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. Prayers will be Tuesday, October 20 at 6:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bernice's memory to CancerCare Manitoba.
