STELLA KRESSY It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother, baba and great-baba, Stella Kressy, aged 85 years, of Gimli, at the Betel Home, on Wednesday October 14, 2009. Mom had farmed alongside Dad throughout their married life. She had such a generous nature, she truly had a heart of gold. We will always remember Mom for her fabulous Sunday dinners. Mom made sure nobody left her home hungry. Mom enjoyed gardening and always had a large garden. She liked listening to Ukrainian music on the Zabava program on the radio. Mom was a loving baba to her grandchildren and spent many happy times with them. They will cherish the special memories of their baba forever. Mom was so proud of her three great-grandchildren. Family was very important to Mom and she made all of us feel special. Mom will be deeply missed by her loving daughters, Rose Prokop (Tony) and Jean Golko (Ken); her grandchildren, Darlene (Jerry), Tammy (Steve), Jennifer (Vali) and Melanie; great-grandchildren, Stephan, Cyera and Aimee; godson Ed Pidwinski and numerous nieces and nephews. Stella was predeceased by her loving husband Mike on January 11, 2007; her parents Nick and Nettie Biluk and all of her siblings, Mary, Mike, Peter, Fred, John, Steve, Lena and Wasylina. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church, Gimli, MB, with Fr. Harry Chuckry officiating. Interment will follow in the North Foley cemetery. Mom we love you and we miss you so much. Vichnaya PamYat Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli in care of arrangements.
