TIMOTHY SEATON BIRT April 13, 1955 - October 13, 2009 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Timothy Seaton Birt on October 13, 2009 at the Concordia Hospital at the age of 54 years. Tim was predeceased by his mother Freda Birt, brother Clive and father-in-law Philip Turkewich. Tim is survived by his loving wife of 28 years Angela; two daughters, Pamela (Steve) and Jennifer; his father Fred; two brothers, Christopher (Yeti), Ian (Colleen); mother-in-law Mary Turkewich; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; his furry friends Roxanne and Marvin; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Tim had many hobbies which he enjoyed such as restoring vehicles like his 1980 Chevrolet Caprice Classic that he was extremely proud of, he was an car enthusiast, he really enjoyed watching Formula One racing and Barrett Jackson on television. He loved spending time with his wife and daughters having BBQ's and Sunday brunches, having family gatherings at the farm and getting together for special occasions. Tim enjoyed volunteering for the Transcona Optimist Club. Tim had a special quality about him, he was a caring and compassionate man always wanting to help people in need. He always put others needs before his own. He also had a sarcastic, dry, witty humour as well. Tim worked for several years at the River East School Division in the maintenance department. Prayers and viewing will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. in the Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Ave. West. A celebration of Tim's life will be held on Monday October 19, 2009 also at the Wheeler Funeral Chapel. Reverend Helen Manfield officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tim's name to the Transcona Optimist Club, Box 62016, 104 Regent Avenue East, R2C 5G2. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the City Of Winnipeg Fire and Paramedics and the Winnipeg Police Service.
