Arnie is survived by his wife Helen (Letkemann) and their three children, Spencer, Levi, and Cassidy, his mother Kati (Catarina) Kasdorf, 12 siblings and their families, Anelise (Ewald) Wiebe, Hans (Heidi) Kasdorf, Irene (Rudy) Schartner, Henry (Ruth) Kasdorf, Robert (Karin) Kasdorf, Marlene (Helmut) Boschmann, Woldemar (Irmgard) Kasdorf, Elvira (John) Bergen, Erna (Dave) Friesen, Rudy (Miriam) Kasdorf, Alfred Kasdorf, Ewald (Helen) Kasdorf and many friends, who will dearly miss him. He was predeceased by his father Jacob Kasdorf. Arnie was born November 7, 1961, in Curitiba, Brazil, the youngest in a family of 13 children. When Arnie was seven years old, he moved to Canada with his family. A plumber by trade, Arnie worked with his brothers in a family-owned business for many years. Arnie was deeply committed to his family and his wife of 21 years. From the time his children were infants, Arnie was a full-time stay-at-home father, throwing his passion into raising his kids, nurturing and encouraging their strengths, and taking great pride in them. When they started school, he continued to support them by volunteering at their school. He was also actively involved in their church as a teacher and youth sponsor, as well as in the community. Arnie had an exuberant personality. His artistic spirit enabled him to create a warm, elegant and beautiful home for his family. He and Helen loved hosting gatherings for family and friends. A funeral service will be held Thursday, October 22 at 10:30 a.m., at Douglas Mennonite Church, 1517 Rothesay Ave., Winnipeg, MB.

I had the pleasure of knowing Arnold while working at the Plumbing Wholesale Western Supplies from 1988 to 2000. He was such a great person/Customer to look after at the Wholesale. He never had a bad thing to say and never a voice raised just a really good guy. I also had the pleasure of meeting his brothers; Robert, Rudy, Alfred and Ewald. The nicest group of family members that I have met and who I have been associated with in Business/employment. I wish all the best to all of the Kasdorf Family going forward in their lives. - Posted by: Curtis Lach (friend) on: Aug 06, 2014

Arnold I miss you. You should have talked to me, I had a very good time working with you, we had a lot of laughs, always happy. When I went to Wpg. I was in Headingley. I phoned Henry and I cried why did the Lord choose you, why not me? I have it figured out. The lord has a chore for all of us. I have helped a lot of people over the last 14 years. I miss you a lot, you have such a nice family - Posted by: Alfred Kasdorf (Brother) on: Mar 01, 2014
