Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • Claudia was the best teacher I ever had. She had the ability to make you better at what you did by listening, empathizing and challenging you to be better. I moved away from Manitoba, but my fondest memories relate to the times we would just talk. She was a very special person and educator, and she is missed. - Posted by: Ken McMullen (Student) on: Apr 28, 2015

  • Claudia Wright was the BEST teacher I have ever had. She taught Western Civilization at Los Altos HS, Hacienda Heights, CA. in 1965-66. She created, in me, an amazing interest for this subject, and helped me give it my very best efforts. She gave our class a lot of work, and truly believed in us accomplishing it, including four term papers of increasing length, the last one 15 pages, citations, bibliography, all college quality work. Her exams were all essay questions and quite thought provoking and challenging. Although I did not pursue a history degree in college, I will never forget that most interesting high school class taught by her, and her special interest in the progress of each of her students. She was a very special person I will never forget, and I offer my sincerest condolences to all of her family. - Posted by: Glen Haikin (former HS student of Claudia) on: Nov 01, 2013

  • Dear John and Maria, It has been a long time since I have seen you both, but I often think fondly of you, your joyous presence at Bob and my wedding, and, of course, of your parents. I was greatly saddened to learn of your mother's death. She was a truly wonderful person and a great inspiration to those of us who had the good fortune to be her students. I have many, many fond memories of all of you. Bob and I send our sincerest sympathy to you both on your loss. Martha Hanna - Posted by: Martha Hanna (Friend) on: Oct 21, 2009
