CAMERON ALBERT HEDIN Peacefully with his family by his side, Cameron Albert Hedin passed away at 77 years of age. He will always be loved and remembered by his wife Donna of 54 years; daughters, Debra and son-in-law Ernie Vosper, Renae Saindon, Shelley Suppal, Sister Elaine (Gordon) Kobitz of Medicine Hat, Alberta and brother Keith Hedin of Winnipeg. Grandpa leaves also granddaughter Kristal; seven grandsons, Ernest (Yanzi), James (Marilea), Matthew, Myles (Rozanne), Korey, Vikram, and Anton; five great-grandsons John, Joseph, Joshua, Owen and Asher. Cam also will be missed by many brothers and sister in-laws, nieces, nephews and many many friends. Cam was also very concerned about his nephew Renell who served in the Canadian Arm Services in Afghanistan. Thanks to Wayne and Mike for being good coffee buddies. Also his beloved dachshund pet Arby. Cam had several careers in his lifetime, working at the Department of Highways Weigh Station in Estevan, Saskatchewan. In 1964 he joined Lutheran Brotherhood Insurance Company as a field representative. In 1968 he took a management position with Lutheran Life now known as Faith Life which moved him and his family to Winnipeg where he served Manitoba and Ontario Districts. Due to a lot of travel and changes he went to work for the Department of Highways in Manitoba at the Headingley Weigh Scales. He retired in 1994. In his retirement he was a Marriage Commissioner which he really enjoyed. Cam took many courses at the Banff School of Fine Arts and received many quality awards for his work in the insurance field. Cam also served as a Board Member of Faith Life Insurance Company for eight years, the Board of Lutheran Volunteer Ministries of Winnipeg and the Board of Oberlin House in Winnipeg which he just loved. Clarence and Nora were an inspiration to him. He served on committees at church and sang in the choir for many years. His interests were antique cars, collecting stamps and coins. Cam's faith, family and church family were the most important things in his life. He tried to instill those values to his family. Our grateful thanks to Pastor Ed Mitchler, Terri, family and friends for their support and prayers during this difficult time. Our thanks to the staff of Palliative Care at the Victoria Hospital. The Memorial Service for celebrating Cam's life will be held Friday, October 23 at 11:00 a.m. at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 200 Dalhousie Drive. Memorial gifts may be given to Epiphany Lutheran Church, The Urban Mission or the Canadian Lutheran World Relief. Rest in Peace Dear Husband, Father, Grandpa and Great Grandpa until we meet again.
