ALBERTO ORTEGA December 13, 1941 - October 15, 2009 A wonderful husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. Alberto or Tatay Berty was born on December 13, 1941 in Kawit, Cavite, Philippines. He was survived by his wife Remedios; his four children, Bermie (Jorge), Ednel (Beth), Cithoy (Alice) and Mildred (Arnel). Also several grandchildren, Lizell, Joylinne, EJ, Camille, Jeremy, Jamielynn, Jessica, Milary, CJ, Felicia, Ameerah and Aaron; his brothers, Alfonso Jr., Azucena, Ferdie, Dennis; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Luis and Angelita; his stepdad Alfonso Sr.; his brother Jing; and his sister Cory. Alberto loved his job as a machine operator and retired from Furgale Industries. He enjoyed biking with his friends, walking at the mall and gardening. We would like to thank the nurses, doctors, and unit assistants at D5, Health Sciences Centre, for providing a holistic care to Tatay Berty. Lamay will be held at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, on October 22 and October 23, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to midnight. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Parish (Mountain and Andrews) on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main Street.
