ROBERT KOWALCHUK It is with deep sorrow and regret that the family announces the passing of Robert (Bob) Kowalchuk, aged 79 years, at home in Gonor on October 18, 2009 with family at his side. Robert is survived by his wife Joan of 55 years, and children, son Brian (Karen) and their children Jordan and Jodene; daughter Debi and her children, Kayla, Kelsey, and Mckenzie. He also leaves to mourn two sisters Dorothy (Ed) and Margaret (Danny), and brother Eddy (Vera); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Dad was born December 25, 1929 in Selkirk, Manitoba. He attended school in the Selkirk area. On October, 1955 Dad married Joan Lindstrom. He worked for Manitoba Rolling Mills for 41 years. Dad loved gardening and taking care of the yard. He loved riding his garden tractor around the yard. His grandchildren were the light of his life. The family would like to thank all the home care workers for their kindness and support. A celebration of Dad's life will be held on Friday, October 23 at 1:00 p.m. in the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Selkirk. Interment will follow in the Selkirk Lutheran Cemetery.
