LEWIS NAGY On Monday, October 19, 2009, with his daughter by his side, at the Arborg Personal Care Home, Lewis Nagy passed away at the age of 87 years. He was predeceased by five brothers, three sisters and his wife Amanda. Lewis is survived by his four children, Dean (Bernice), Darlene (Stanley), Bernard (Nancy), Brad (Sheenagh) and one sister, Helen; grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was the youngest of ten children. Lewis met and married Amanda in Lethbridge, Alberta in 1942 when he was working for a farmer out there. They lived and worked at farming in Alberta and Saskatchewan before joining the Army in 1944. Amanda followed him to Brandon when he was transferred to Shilo, MB and from there he was transferred to Halifax, NS and she came to Arnes to his sister Margaret's place. The war ended and he came and started farming in Arnes. During the winter he would cut pulpwood about 70 to 100 miles north. He later started logging and operated his own sawmill. He also loved hunting moose, elk, deer and fowl. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will take place at a later date. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli in care of arrangements.
