KEVIN MALCOLM DOUGLAS FUNK April 16, 1965 - October 18, 2009 With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Kevin on Sunday, October 18, 2009 at the Grace Hospital, at the age of 44. Left to cherish his memories are his wife Cora; daughters Rhea (Ray) and Michelle; granddaughter Sharron; mother Laura; father Ernie (Sandra); sister Kelly (Larry); nieces Samantha and Karli; nephew Lance. He will be remembered and missed by his many aunts, uncles and especially his cousins, Butch, Candy, Chris and JoAnne who were his childhood buddies. Kevin attended and graduated from Sturgeon Creek Collegiate. He was employed by Boeing of Canada for 22 years. He had a great passion for working out at the gym, spending time with his family and driving his new car. God saw you getting tired When a cure was not to be, He wrapped you in his loving arms And whispered, Come to me. You suffered much in silence Your spirit did not bend, You faced your pain with courage Until the very end. You tried so hard to stay with us Your fight was all in vain, God took you in His loving arms And freed you from your pain. You didn't deserve what you went through And so He gave you rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. Prayers will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, followed by a reception. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. also at the Funeral Home. Chapel Lawn 885 - 9715
