RONALD JAMES CAMIRE April 3, 1942 October 17, 2009 Peacefully, after a long courageous battle with cancer, Ron passed away at the age of 67. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Margaret, sons, Roy (Tracy) and Glenn (Trina), daughter Michelle (Derek), his precious grandchildren; Scott, Kaitlyn, Anthony, Jordan, Riley and Brady, his siblings Armand (Eva), Bud (Judy), Jim, Lily (Jack) and Lucille, as well as many nieces and nephews. Ron was born and raised in Winnipeg. He married the love of his life Margaret on July 28, 1962 and they moved to Thompson to begin their lives together. In 1974, they moved to New Bothwell where they were welcomed with open arms. The community became like family to them and remained that way ever since. Their move to Winnipeg in 1992 proved difficult for them but they kept close ties with their Bothwell friends. Ron was very proud of his children and devoted much of his time and energy to his grandchildren. They were truly the light of his life and the love for his wife was immeasurable. Dad had such a generous nature and a heart of gold. His witty sense of humour helped us all even through the most difficult of times. We would like to thank CancerCare and all of our family and friends for their love and support. A memorial service will be held Friday, October 23 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home 220 Hespeler at Henderson Hwy. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron's memory may be made to CancerCare, MB Words cannot express how much he meant to all of us. He will be deeply missed. His weary hours and days of pain, His troubled nights are past, And in our aching hearts we know, He has found sweet rest at last.
