MICHAEL VICTOR JACKSON
Date of Passing: Oct 11, 2009
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAEL VICTOR JACKSON (Mike) (MJ) (VE4 MIK) It is with deep sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Michael Victor Jackson on October 11, 2009 at the age of 44 years at his favourite summer place. He will be sadly missed by his parents, Brian and Dianne, sister Laurie (Jackson) Watts, brother-in-law Paul, and his nephew Cole and niece Celina as well as his many friends and relatives. Michael attended school in West Kildonan and graduated from Maples Collegiate with a Certificate of Merit in Welding in 1982. Michael then joined the family business and worked in parts, sales and was working as a major appliance technician for the past 24 years. He also liked old cars and enjoyed talking on his Ham Radio (VE4 MIK). He could hardly wait for spring to arrive to join his lake friends for the weekends at his cabin at Spruce Sands. He has often been kidded about his famous name, which he took in stride. He loved dirt biking, snowmobiling and trike riding. He also enjoyed sewing, biking, fishing, and visiting his many friends while at his cabin. He would always extend a helping hand to whoever needed it. He even tried to learn a second language of Spanish and spent a lot of time on his computer researching any and everything. He had a great talent at electronics and technical wiring. Michael was currently dealing with many health issues related to his original heart valve replacement of 23 years ago. God must have seen his struggle. To ease his stress and anxiety he called Michael home. Michael we hold you close within our hearts and there you will remain. To walk with us throughout our lives, until we meet again. Love Mom, Dad, and sister Laurie. The family wants to extend thanks to the EMS and Emergency staff at Gimli and St. Boniface Hospitals for their intensive effort, kindness and caring. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, Michael would have desired that donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111
