LESLIE B. KOLISNYK February 5, 1931 - October 17, 2009 Peacefully on Saturday, October 17, 2009, Leslie Kolisnyk was welcomed into his Lord's arms. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Nettie (nee Gierys) treasured above all for over 57 years of marriage; his children, Patti (John) Duhault of Calgary, Debbie (John) Albert of Auckland, New Zealand, Don (Jan) Kolisnyk of Winnipeg; his grandchildren, Terra, Kaela, Alexander and Kiidra Duhault, Scott and Nigel Abercrombie, Jori, Kyrissa and Cole Kolisnyk; his sister Lorraine (Bruce) McCartney of Toronto; his brothers, Norman (Sylvia), Wayne (Gaile), Bryan (Jean), Garry (Lise), his sister-in-law Frances Kolisynk, and his brother-in-law Ted (Sophie) Gierys, all of Winnipeg and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Leslie's generous spirit, humourous wit, absolute love of his family will be greatly missed. Leslie is predeceased by his parents, Alec and Teenie Kolisnyk, brothers Ernest and Emil Kolisnyk, and granddaughter Michael Abercrombie. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 23, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with Father Peter Chorney officiating at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street with interment to follow.
