GALE MARY LEARNING (nee KELLY) 1935 - 2009 It is with great sadness, we announce that Gale Mary Learning peacefully passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital on Friday, October 23, 2009. Gale was predeceased by her husband Allan, her parents Charlotte and Oswald Kelly, sister Helen and brother Glen (Edward). Gale will be missed and forever remembered by her sons Harold (Joyce), Peter (Kathy) and Glenn (Janet); her daughter Jennifer; sisters June and Mary (Owen); brothers Art (Germaine), Joe and Albert and in-laws; grandchildren Sarah (Adam), Rachel (Tom), Matthew, Steven, Brianna and Samantha as well as great-grandchildren Taylor, Ella, Lucas, Mikayla and Mya. Gale was born on April 22, 1935 in Jonquiere, Quebec. She had a wonderful childhood with her brothers and sisters and many cousins and friends in Quebec. At a Curling Club dance in 1956 she met her soul mate Allan. On December 1, 1956 she had her beautiful, wonderful winter wedding. Gale lived, loved and breathed for her children. Her pride and joy were her children and later her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gale took pride in everything she did. She was an amazing hardworker. For 12 years she worked at Biway and ran that like a tight ship. Later in life she worked for Vantis Credit Union. She thoroughly enjoyed her job and meeting wonderful friends. She was an avid bowler and had a great zest for life. She was a very feisty little spitfire with a heart full of love. She is greatly loved and missed by everyone she touched. We as a family are comforted that she is now with her beloved Al. As our heart breaks she is now no longer suffering and in pain. The family wishes to thank all the thoughtful and supportive nursing staff on the 3B ward, at the St. Boniface Hospital, for all their care and compassion. A celebration of Gale's life will take place on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 1531 Pembina Hwy., Winnipeg, MB.
