Born: Apr 27, 1927
Date of Passing: Oct 19, 2009
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARTHA OLIVE EINARSON (KERELCHUK) April 27, 1927 - October 19, 2009 Peacefully on October 19, 2009 with her family at her side, Martha passed on after a sudden illness. Martha will be dearly missed by her daughters, Connie Bain and Donna (Ron) Paul, her son Glen Einarson, as well as her grand-children Angie (Jim) Dyck, Troy (Marcie) Einarsson, Michael and Nicole Einarson and great-grandchildren Kara and Ryan Dyck, and Emily Paul. Martha is survived by sister Elsie (Ralph) Wiberg and brother Bill Tomachuk. Martha was predeceased by her husband, Dori Einarsson, brother Marvin Kerel, and son-in-law David Bain. Martha also had many friends at her home in Donwood Manor. Martha grew up on a farm in the Interlake region of Manitoba where she met and married her husband, Dori. Their life together began in a granary behind the family home in Arborg which Martha transformed into their first beautiful home. Following their daughter Connie's birth, they moved to Winnipeg where they continued the growth of their family with the births of Donna and Glen. Martha always had an open door to other children besides her own, and ensured that everyone was cared for as part of her family. In times of need, Martha would gladly turn a visit into an extended stay in her home to ensure that anyone who needed help received it. Martha's generosity continued into the community through her volunteer work with Robertson Church, The Heart and Stroke Foundation, and finally with Donwood Manor. As Martha became a grandmother, her unending love and generosity was extended to her grandchildren and growing family. Throughout the course of her life, Martha remained a symbol of strength, kindness, and love to all whose lives she touched. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Concordia Hospital for their care during Martha's last days. At Martha's request, a private family ceremony will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Thomson In the ParK 925-1120 Condolences may be sent to www.thomsoninthepark.com
