ANTON (TONY) KIZLIK It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our Dad on October 23, 2009. He is survived by his children, Bev (Brian), Mel (Linda) and Diane (John); his grandchildren, Jennifer (Kyle), Kevin (Carina), Tyler and Serena; his two brothers and three sisters. Dad was predeceased by our mom, Ruby, who passed in 1992. Dad and Mom started their lives in East Selkirk, running the Star Hotel in 1953. In 1957, they moved to St. Vital and Dad started his career as an owner/operator truck driver working for Provincial Concrete, Tri Mac and then Building Products until his retirement in 1992. Dad was very proud of his flawless Class 1 safe driving record throughout his career! Dad's hobby was small engine and mechanical repairs. He loved the challenges of fixing lawnmowers, snow blowers, rototillers, and anything else that broke down. Dad was a member of Legion 141. He looked forward to the weekly Saturday social events. He will be sadly missed by Mary and his many other friends. The family thanks Dad's palliative home nurse Harriette and the staff on the palliative ward at Riverview Health Centre for their compassionate care. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 27 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. with Rev. T. Hidichuk officiating. Interment will follow in St. Vital Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in Dad's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or Riverview Health Centre (Palliative Care). KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 956-2193
