Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN LINCOLN GROOM It is with sadness the family announces the passing of John on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at Parkview Place. John was predeceased by his wife Dorothy in 2004, his parents James and Nora, son David, son-in-law Daniel, brother Harold and sister Marge. He leaves to mourn his daughters, Lynore and Vivian (Dale), six grandchildren, nine and a half great-grandchildren, brothers Alan and Bruce, sister Jessie and numerous nieces and nephews. John was born in Carman, MB and raised in St. James. Dad married our Mom Dorothy in 1946 and moved to the north end in 1949 where they lived together and raised their family for 58 years. John worked for Canada Packers for many years until his retirement at age 63. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers donations in John's memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2, 943-6622.
