ISABELLA NEUENDORFF (RUPP)
Date of Passing: Oct 25, 2009
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryISABELLA NEUENDORFF (nee RUPP) Isa passed away October 25, 2009 at the age of 85. She was born in Dydiatycze, Poland but lived in southwest Germany until she immigrated to Canada in 1949. She met and married Willigert Neuendorff in Winnipeg and they had four children, Chris (Anita), Ria (Mike), Mark (Susie) and Britta (Len). She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Phil, Leah, Tara, Ian, Jade, Jessie, Kristen, Jenna and by her beloved dog Amy. She was predeceased by her parents, her brothers and her husband. Isa worked at the University of Manitoba, Dept. of Pathology for 40 years, until she retired in 1990. She and our father made lasting friendships with others who immigrated to Canada at around the same time they did, as well as with members of the First Mennonite community. Her happiest times were spent with family at the cottage at West Hawk Lake or at family get togethers where traditions were born and will continue as she would have wanted. She spent many years caring for our father, her mother and her brother and so it was difficult when she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and had only a few years before she needed to be cared for herself. Our mother lived her life for her family, providing unconditional love and never ceasing to worry about each of us. We will remember her love for the outdoors and her flower gardens, her willingness to put family before herself and the propensity to partake in laughter and sarcasm when she was with us. We want to thank the staff at Tuxedo Villa for their care over the last few years. Service will be held at the First Mennonite Church at 922 Notre Dame Ave. on Friday, October 30, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society, 105 - 386 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3R6 or a charity of your choice. We hope you have finally found peace Mom. We will miss you and love you forever. THOMSON IN THE PARK 925-1120 Condolences may be sent to www.thomsoninthepark.com
