Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE MCCALMAN LONGBOTTOM October 8, 1925 - October 28, 2009 Peacefully, on Wednesday, October 28, 2009, George passed away at the Grace Hospital. Dad leaves to cherish his memory his loving children, daughter Tina (Ron); son Allan (Irene) and daughter-in-law Susan. Scottie is his long time companion, friend and sweetheart for the past 17 years. George had seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by infant sister Alice; his wife Win, son Gord, brothers: Jim and Alex, sister Margaret and grandson Rick. Dad's love for his family and friends was the most important part of his life. He enjoyed being an active member of the Air Cadets 573 Squadron, Air Gunners Association, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and a member of the Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans in Canada. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the staff at the Grace Hospital. Your care and compassion are greatly appreciated. In keeping with George's wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held on Friday, October 30, at 2:00 p.m. in the Ukrainian Canadian Veterans Branch #141, 618 Selkirk Ave. Should friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Wildlife Haven, 1191 Research Station Rd., St. Adolphe, MB R0G 0S0 Rest in Peace Dad!
