EUNICE LEONA LAWRENCE (nee ROSS) December 5, 1926 - October 29, 2009 With our love and deepest sorrow, we announce the peaceful passing of Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma, Sister, Auntie and sister-in-law, Eunice Lawrence, on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at the Grace Hospice, Winnipeg, MB, after a courageous battle with cancer. Eunice was predeceased by her husband Edwin; sons, Morris and Glenn; her parents, Earl and Margaret Ross; brothers, Charlie, Raymond, Donald; sister Aileen and brothers-in-law, Norman Martin, Alfred Myers and Jack Evans. She will be fondly remembered by her daughter Ruth Harris; grandson Kyle (Carolyn); daughter-in-law Janice Lawrence; granddaughter Nancy (Greg), great-grandsons, Wyatt and Brett; granddaughter Judy (Mike); her sisters, Norma Myers, Janice Evans, Adele (Mitch) Chornoby; her brothers, Eldon (Carol), Victor (Ardelle); sister-in-law Mary Ross and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Eunice cherished her many dear friends and loved to chat with them on the phone or in her home. Everyone was welcome in her house and they definitely had to share a meal or at least have a cup of tea with her. She wrote many letters, notes and cards over the years to keep in contact with her many relatives and friends. Eunice was a talented writer and her memories will live on in the many poems and stories she wrote over the years. Eunice was born in Cooks Creek, MB. She lived in Winnipeg, Brandon, Stonewall and then returned to Winnipeg in the 1960's where she presently resided. With our sincere gratitude we would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the Riverview Health Centre and Grace Hospice for the wonderful care and attention they provided to Eunice. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
