WALTER SCOTT MCOUAT It is with great sadness we say goodbye to our dad, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. Walter Scott McOuat who passed away October 22, 2009 in California at the age of 83. Wally, or Walt, was born October 30, 1925 in tSt. Vital, Manitobao parents Grace and Walter McOuat. He was one of eleven children and attended school in St. Vital. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy in 1942 and was stationed on the HMCS Fort Erie, a frigate stationed in the Triangle run of the North Atlantic Convoys. He returned home from the war in 1945 and later in 1960 moved to California where he was a successful businessman and resided until his death in Nevada. He was predeceased by his first wife Ruth (nee Harris), his parents, brothers Arthur, Earle, Donald and Dwight, sister-in-law Sandra (nee Mackay) and brother-in-law Lloyd Woollard. He is survived by his wife of 19 years Angie, daughters, Carol McQuat (Russell) of California and Noelle Wamboldt (Frank) of Mesa, Arizona, grandsons, Cory (Shaunie) and Rusty and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers, William of Winnipeg, George and Charles of Toronto and sisters, Marcella Woollard and Danielle Street of Winnipeg and Margaret Annett of Vancouver.
