Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANA SILAR June 19, 1929 - October 12, 2009 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and baka, Ana on October 12, 2009 at the Langley Memorial Hospital in BC. Left to cherish Ana's memory are her loving husband of 55 years, Ivan, two daughters, Ana Valentic (Ivan), Vesna Lavoie, and her son George (Janice). Six grandchildren (Davor, Denis, Alan, Carmen, Suzanne and Daniel), 11 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and many family and friends, especially Ivan and Dusanka Perkovic and their son Renato. Mom and Dad enjoyed 20 years of retirement, residing on the West coast, where Mom continued her love of gardening, especially her roses which she tended to with great joy. They travelled extensively over the years to their former homeland of Croatia, Europe, USA, and also took many Canadian road trips. Family meant everything to Ana and we will miss her guidance, great cooking, and unconditional love. Cremation has taken place. A graveside remembrance and interment of ashes will be held at the Lac du Bonnet Cemetery on Friday November 6, 2009 at 1:00 p.m., followed by a gathering of family and friends at the Lac du Bonnet Legion Hall.
