DONALD OSBORNE Suddenly, after a brief battle with lung disease, Donald Osborne passed away peacefully on October 30, 2009, surrounded by his family. Many memories will be cherished by Don's wife of 48 years, Lois, son Rick (Cori), daughter Susan (Dean) and numerous family members and friends. Don was predeceased by his parents, brothers Roy, Jimmy, and Bruce, along with sisters Hazel, Joan, and grand-dog Casper. Born in Transcona on January 11, 1936, Don worked many jobs before starting his career as a gasfitter, then later becoming a steamfitter / pipefitter for Local 254 in 1973. During the years, Don enjoyed building the cottage at Lakeshore Heights, and helping out those who asked. He was a jack-of-all trades, and stayed til the job was done. The family extends special thanks to Seven Oaks Pulmonary Clinic staff, and Dr. J. Richmond-Eisenstat. Funeral Services will be held at Klassen Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 5, 2009.
