MARY MACKLIN 1923 - 2009 It is with great sorrow that the family of Mary Macklin announces her passing with her family by her side on Friday, October 30, 2009 at the Grace Hospice. Mary is predeceased by her loving husband John. Left to cherish and mourn are Mary's children, Dorothy, Stan, Reg (Corrine) and Robert, sister Helen, brother Conrad, extended family members and friends. Mary was born May 19, 1923 in Morley, Rainey River, ON. Raised on the family farm in Stratton, then later volunteering into the Canadian Army during the Second World War, it is here that she met the love of her life John. Mary and John were blessed with a wonderful marriage of 55 years until John's passing in 2000. Mary was a devoted Catholic member of St. Paul the Apostle and in her later years apart of The Assiniboine Christian Centre. Mary donated many items that she knitted to both parishes, a hobby that she took great pride in. She also enjoyed leisure time with her family and gardening. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, PO Box 2248, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4A6. As per Mary's wishes cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. Mary will be laid to rest at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
