ALBERT GUSTAV BAIER Peacefully, in the comfort of his home, Albert G. Baier passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at the age of 86 years. Albert was predeceased by his wife Hildegard, mother Bertha and father August. He leaves to mourn his daughter Margret, son Albert, grandsons Calvin and Justin, sister Margarette in Germany, and many other family and friends. Born on June 9, 1923 in Niefern Germany, Albert and his wife Hildegard immigrated to Canada in 1952. Albert worked at Bristol Aerospace for 35 years until his retirement at 65. Albert was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was an active member of the St. Hubertus Fishing and Hunting Club, and the Canadian German Society for many years. Albert also loved gardening and had a wealth of knowledge of the Manitoba outdoors and wildlife. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 4, at 11:00 a.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church, 265 Flora Ave. We will miss you Opa.
