Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDR. MARK JOHNSTON It is with heavy hearts we must announce the peaceful passing of a beautiful soul. Mark passed away at home on October 30, 2009 surrounded by his family. He was a loving husband, father, son and brother and will be so deeply missed by his wife Kim, sons Paul and Adam, mother Elizabeth, brother Paul (Terri) and sisters Claudia (David), Christine (Carl), Andrea (Davyd), brothers-in-law Guy (Verna), Karl (Carol), sister-in-law Heather (Jim), father-in-law Peter and mother-in-law Alice. Uncle Mark will also be deeply missed by all his nieces and nephews. Mark was predeceased by his father Ernest in 1986 and brother Peter in 1951. Mark graduated from University of Manitoba Faculty of Dentistry in 1987 and had a long rewarding career. The highlight of his career was the relationships that he developed with colleagues and patients. His caring attitude and professionalism was truly reflected in the teams that developed in the Dental Image Clinics - North and South. He was so very proud of all them. Family was always an important piece of Mark's life. He had many happy memories of his childhood and appreciated the relationships that developed with his siblings as adults. Mark valued the many things he learned from his parents and these were reflected in the way he lived his life. He also appreciated the lifelong support he received from his mother. He was very proud of his sons Paul and Adam and enjoyed watching them grow into fine young men. Mark's strength of character and bravery helped us all along the way. His appreciation for the small treasures in life made us all stop and take a second look. He loved the mountains, sitting at the water's edge, admiring the scenery on a long drive. There was always something he could take from the day and smile about. Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. G. Schroeder, Kim, Danika, Kaeleigh, Scott and Deb at CancerCare. Dr. Fewer, Dr. Roland Debrouwere, Monica from Health Sciences Centre. Patti Jo, Jeannette, Debbie, Bev, Cheryl, Joanne, Lila, Noella, Wilma, Cecile, Chris from Palliative / Homecare. Thank-you for your kind hearts and hard work. Mark enjoyed you all. Mark, we will feel your presence when the breeze brushes against us. Your smile when the sun beams down upon us and your calmness when the rain kisses us. We will feel enveloped in your love with the clear waters of the ocean and the stars share the sparkle in your eyes. Thank-you Lord for giving us Mark.
