Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPATRICIA ANNE CROSS (nee DALZELL) June 13, 1945 - October 29, 2009 After a long and courageous battle of illnesses Patricia passed away with her loving family by her side. Pat leaves to cherish her memory her husband Blake, son Jeff (Monique), daughter Susie and grandchildren Max, Mason, Averie and Aaron. Also left to mourn her memory is sister Norah (Bill), nieces Tara and Lee Anne (John), as well as sister-in-law Sandra and nephews Curtis (Karen), Cliff (Patti) and Aunt Irene and Uncle Fred. She was predeceased by her parents May and Alex Dalzell. Pat was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Her family immigrated to Canada in 1957, travelling on the Empress of Britain and settling in Winnipeg, where she met her future husband of 42 years. Pat began her career in 1978 at Canada Permanent Trust rising to the position of Senior Personnel Officer at Canada Trust. After retiring in 1995 due to health she was blessed with four grandchildren. By far the greatest joy came from her children and grandchildren. Pat enjoyed her winter holidays in Hawaii and Florida and spending summers in Sandy Hook at the family cottage. During her last weeks in the hospital, Pat never complained. If anyone asked her how she was feeling she would always reply fine . Our sincere thanks goes to the wonderful staff at St. Boniface Hospital on the floors 5B and E6 for their compassionate care for Pat and of her family. With a special thank you to her sister Norah and nephew Curtis. A funeral service to celebrate Pat's life will be held at the Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Avenue West at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 6, 2009. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pat's memory may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7.
