GLORIA KALID (nee PEREPELUK) October 29, 1935 - October 30, 2009 Peacefully on October 30, 2009 Gloria, mom, babba and friend passed away at Lion's Manor. She is survived by her children Nancy Kalid Midmore (Kit) of Surrey, BC and Bobby Kalid (Ramona), grandchildren Robbie, Kelly, Brett, Matthew and baby granddaughter Taylor, brother Walter and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father William John and mother Effie, brothers John, Mickey and sister Zonya. Gloria's zest for life and love of people granted her many friends over the years. She loved to travel and was fortunate to visit her ancestral home of the Ukraine. Gloria spent many years living in Dauphin, Manitoba and was an active participant in the Ukrainian Dauphin Festival and community. Gloria's greatest loves were her two children, Bobby and Nancy whom she spoke about constantly. She was extremely proud of their accomplishments and shared this with all who knew her. Gloria's last years were spent at the Lion's Manor Nursing Home. She made friends with all the staff and visitors. We wish to extend our deepest thank you and sincere gratitude to the staff at Lion's Manor for their kindness and patience they extended over the past years. Celebration of Gloria's life will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Avenue, West.
