LESLIE BRODIE CORDINGLEY October 9, 1926 - November 3, 2009 Leslie Cordingley passed away peacefully at the Victoria Hospital on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at the age of 83 years. He leaves to mourn in his passing his loving wife of 62 years, Claire Cordingley; his children Brian (Carol), Jo-Anne (Blair); five grand-children; eight great-grandchildren; brother Ivan; sister Marie and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers Basil and Lloyd and sister Doreen. Les enlisted in the Navy in 1944 and was a proud member of St. James Legion #4. Les retired from MTS after 40 years of service in 1983. He also served a term as President of the Manitoba Chapter of the Telephone Pioneers. We will all greatly miss him for his wonderful sense of humour, kindness, generous hospitality, beautiful flower garden, and his creative carpentry skills. We would like to thank the staff of the Victoria Hospital for their kindness and support. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity of your choice. Cremation has taken place and his memorial service will take place at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
