JENNY ROSE MCGRATH Suddenly and peacefully, Jenny passed away at the Grace Hospital on November 3, 2009. Jenny was predeceased by her husband, Ronald McGrath in August 2001. She will be missed by her son, Greg; her daughter, Linda of BC; grandchildren, Michael and Melissa of BC; sisters Diane Unrau of Calgary and Helen Paczynski of Winnipeg as well as her nieces, nephews and their families. Jenny was born March 26, 1933 in Winnipeg. She grew up in the North End and attended Luxton School and St. John's High School. She married Ronald McGrath July 17, 1954. Jenny worked as a bookkeeper at several automotive dealerships as well as The Transcona News, retiring from Keystone Ford. She was a member of the Holy Ghost Fraternal Aid Society for over 40 years. A long time resident of Transcona, Jenny spent many happy summers at the family cabin in Winnipeg Beach. Her love of nature was reflected in her favourite things especially butterflies, flowers and picking mushrooms. Nature was a common theme in the drawings, paintings and ceramics she created over the years. She loved her plants and gardening. Her green thumb was evident in and around her home, which she shared with son Greg and furry friends Baby and Spooky. Jenny enjoyed visits to Club Regent as well as discussing the issues of the day with care worker and friend, Vera. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Jenny's life will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, November 7, 2009, at the Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Avenue West.
