HELEN LEGGO 1920 - 2009 Peacefully, on Sunday, November 1, 2009 Helen passed away at Riverview Health Centre, at the age of 89 years. Helen was predeceased by her sister Judy Garside in 2008. She will be lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law and good friend Marge Ibbot, five nieces and one nephew, Shirley (Bill) Gilchrist, Linda (Ray) Fontaine, Janet (Danny) Kay of Hamilton, Susan (Rick) Willms of Edmonton, Jim (Lori Butler) and Debbie (Lindsay) Nikkel. She will also be missed by her many great-nieces and great-nephews. Helen was a proud Fort Garry resident, living her whole life here. In 1943 Helen volunteered for war service in the Canadian Women's Corps, The Victoria General Hospital for 30 years, Meals on Wheels for over 25 years, and Fort Garry Historical Society. She was very active in her community; she gave as much as her heart was big. She took great pride serving with her many friends at the St. Paul's Church Women's Group (ACW). A celebration of Helen's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at St. Paul's Anglican Church, 830 North Dr. with Rev. Woodcroft presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 982-7550
