PAULINE ADAIR January 25, 1919 - November 3, 2009 Peacefully in her sleep, at the age of 90, Pauline, our loving Mom and Nana passed away on November 3, 2009 at Concordia Hospital. Pauline will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her son, Danny (Gail) and daughter Dawn (Gerry Rauch); her grandchildren Daran (Chantel), Tracy Rauch, Dana (Richard Terry), Tammy (Mike Terleski), and Candy (John Kostusik). Nana will be sadly missed by her great-grandchildren Jackson and Logan Adair, Nathanial, Christian, and Samara Rauch, Keirra and Justice Terry, Ava and Izabella Terleski, Gabriella Kostusik, as well as many nieces and nephews and foster grandson Edward Dovidija. Pauline was born, grew up, and raised her family in Transcona. She was an active, caring and loving part of the community throughout her life. Friends and neighbours became like an extended family. Mom was predeceased by Bert, her loving husband of 65 years, her brother Johnny Hominick and sister Bernice Safinuik. The family would like to give a special thanks to Barb Herron. Barb was a dedicated friend who was always there for Mom and became like a family member. We also thank the Home Care workers who worked with Mom and helped with daily needs. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 982-7550

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Pauline and Bert were lifetime friends. Even though our careers took us away from Transcona, their home, or cottage, was always a "must" visit whenever we returned to reconnect with family 'back home. They could always be counted on for a good game of cribbage, or a cool refreshment on the dock at West Hawk Lake. They even returned, to visit with us in Burlington Ontario. Bert, and now Pauline, will be missed. They were folks that made a difference - they helped make us who we are. Bob & Jackie Esselmont - Posted by: robert Esselmont (Friend) on: Nov 06, 2009
