Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTELLA V. PERCHALSKI It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother, Stella Perchalski, age 92, on October 13, 2009. Left to cherish her memory are her three children, Marie (Ron) Yanke, Elaine (Bob) McAfee and Jim (Kathy) Perchalski; eight wonderful grandchildren, Tim (Sayumi) Yanke, Kevin (Delka) Yanke, Dale (Trisha) Yanke, Collin McAfee, Amber (Quenton) Ducharme, Kristen McAfee, Jason Perchalski and Kailyn Perchalski; four joyous great-grandchildren, Haylee and Chloe Ducharme, Zackary and Everett Yanke, two sisters, Lucille Hrabi of Winnipeg and Elizabeth Williams of Toronto, ON.; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Frank in 1989, an infant daughter Elizabeth in 1945, her parents, John and Emily Ambrozik, her sisters Mary Smyk and Anne Kania and brother Charlie Ambrozik. Stella was born in Zbaraz, MB on December 26, 1916. Over the years, she entertained many childhood stories of her life on the Zbaraz homestead at our many family get-togethers. On September 24, 1939, Stella married Frank Perchalski and together they farmed in the Fisher Branch area till they moved to Winnipeg in 1988. After Dad's passing, Mom moved on to know many fine years in her condo at Fred Douglas Place. Mom was known for her hearty laugh and generous nature. Her many interests ran from shopping, cooking and baking, crocheting, flower and vegetable gardening, browsing at flea markets and garage sales, antique hunting, surfing her cable TV for cooking, ice skating, and newscast programs and her lengthy phone call visits with friends and family. Grandma enjoyed her grandchildren and has left them with many fond memories. Cremation has taken place. Prayers will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., on Friday, November 13 at 7:30 p.m. with Father Sam Argenziano officiating. A Memorial service will be held at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Fisher Branch, MB on Saturday, November 14 at 1:00 p.m. with Father Paul Bisson officiating. Interment will follow in St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff on 3A at the Holy Family Nursing Home for their loving care; to her physician Dr. Terry Babick for his dedication, and to the Emergency physicians and Dr. B. Gorski at Seven Oaks General Hospital for their compassion. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Stella's memory to a charity of one's choice. All the pain and worry is over, Every restless tossing passed; I am now at peace forever, Safely home in Heaven at last. Fisher Funeral Home Inc. In care of arrangements.
