TINA SAWATZKY (nee PENNER) Peacefully, on November 6, 2009, at the age of 87 years, Tina passed away of pneumonia. Tina was born June 9, 1922 in Ukraine. She is survived by her brothers, Andreas, John and Peter Penner and sisters, Anne Murovec and Grete Penner and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Abram and sons, Hans and Victor during the second World War (1944) and brother Gerhard (2008). Tina was a very giving woman and always made you feel welcome in her home. She had a wonderful smile that could light up a room. The family would like to thank Kildonan Personal Care Centre for their loving and compassionate care. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 10 at 10:30 a.m. at Springfield Heights Mennonite Church, 570 Sharron Bay, Winnipeg with cremation to follow. Ash interment at Mennonite Memorial Gardens.
